No one enjoys going to a play and not being able to see or hear it!  Without our lights and sound crew, this is exactly what would happen. A large amount of time is devoted to ensuring the spot light works, campers understand how it works, and can switch the light from scenes to characters without disrupting the production. Hanging lights, rigging lights, performing sound checks are all important to prepare for the camp performance.
Understanding how a sound board works also brings to life the voices of characters as well as the honking car horn, a ringing doorbell, or a phone ringing at just the right moment. Without sound, the audience cannot hear a quivering emotion, the jolly pirate, or preventing backstage noise being heard. Sound crews, along with Santa, have very important lists they check over and over from rehearsals to the end of the production!
